Recommended Bike Rack for 70 lb E-Bikes On Back of Flat-Towed Vehicle
Question:
What rack would you recommend to transport two 72 lbs E-Bikes on a towed vehicle? We tow a 2020 Jeep Gladiator behind our 2020 Thor Quantum WS31 Class C Motorhome. We have two RadPower Plus E-Bikes, which are full size with 26x4 inch tires and are 72 lbs each.

I do have an option for you but you'll have to reduce the weight of the bikes. That said, this can easily be done in most cases by simply removing the battery and placing it in the trunk of the vehicle or in the motorhome on a charger so they are ready to go when you arrive at your destination. Once you are able to get the weight of the bikes under 66 lbs you can use the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes part # Y36FR which has locks for security, ramps for loading, and is compatible with the rear of a flat-towed vehicle.
