Can The Yakima OnRamp Be Used On Travel Trailer For Hauling 2 Electric Bikes?

Question:

Looking to buy a Yakima onramp 2inch hitch bike rack for my e-bikes. Will be using it on both my pickup and at times on the back of our 20foot travel trailer. On your site it was recommended to get part #LGA34FR for the trailer. Is that an add on of some kind or a differently built rack? And what is the additional cost?

The Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches # Y36FR would be an excellent carrier for 2 electric bikes. The weight capacity is 66lbs per bike (or 40lbs per bike on trailer or RV) and it attaches to the bike frame, making it compatible with bikes that have fenders and/or baskets. Luckily, this carrier is compatible with travel trailers so you will be able to use it on both your truck and trailer, just as long as they each have a 2" receiver.

The Lets Go Aero V-Lectric Bike Rack LGA34FR is a totally different bike rack which has nothing to do with the Yakima OnRamp. This particular rack is the older outdated version, but you can find the new version here # LGA77FR. You can click on the part link to see the price and other information regarding this rack. It is also compatible with travel trailers, however, I recommend going with the Yakima OnRamp because it is a platform rack which is a more secure and stable way of hauling electric bikes. Also, the OnRamp is more affordable.
