What Size Tires Will Work with 15 Split Trailer Wheels

Question:

My question is I have original split rims and want to keep them original. Does the tire then have to be 700 15, or can you put 205/90/15s or even say a 225/75/15. Or better yet any 15 inch tire with a proper tube? The split rims are the three piece. Type, rim, large outside ring, smaller ring that hooks up with the rim. Thank you for your help.

The wheel width and diameter is what determines the compatible trailer tire size. It seems like they are 15" diameter so that can help narrow down your selection but in order to choose between 205/225 etc. you'll need to know the width of the wheel inside the beat seats. I have attached our options below, many of which state the size wheels they will work with. The Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # TR20515D for example is compatible with 15" x 5", 15" x 5-1/2", 15" x 6", and 15" x 6-1/2" diameter wheels.
