Replacement Tires For a Ranger Trail Tandem Axle Trailer With 205/75-14 Tires

Question:

Looking to replace all 4 tires on my dual axle Ranger Trail trailer. The tires match what I currently have. I have never replaced the tires but need to for a 900 mile trip. Am I correct in getting these tires? Also is the load rating per tire, so 4 holds more weight?

Based on you confirming that the Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10234 matches the tire size that you have these should be the correct tires that you need. There are different load ratings available for the 205/75-15 tire size that you need. Also the load rating is per tire so you will be able to multiply that by 4 for the total trailer GVWR. If you are unsure there should be a trailer ID sticker on your Ranger Trail trailer that will show you the weight ratings required for your trailer and specify the tire size and load range used incase the tires were changed by a previous owner.

First there are 2 types of tires, Radial and Bias. The Radial tires will perform better on road and typically will have a longer life. Bias ply tires perform better off road as they have a stiffer sidewall.

Karrier ST205/75R14 # AM10234 Radial Tire Load Range C 1,925lbs per tire, 7,700lbs total 4 tires

Karrier ST205/75R14 # AM10235 Radial Tire Load Range D 2,200lbs per tire, 8,800lbs total 4 tires

Loadstar ST205/75D14 # AM1ST86 Bias Tire Load Range C 1,760lbs per tire, 7,040lbs total 4 tires
