The Yakima EXO SwingBase 2 Tier Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y82VR is 29" from the center of the hitch to the locking handle on the base. The locking locking handle does sit 8" above the top of the receiver which you will want to ensure that your door will also clear if the door does sit inside the 29" measurement of SwingBase.
Be sure to get the License Plate and Tail Light Relocation Kit # Y74VR as with your gear loaded it will most likely impair the view of the tail lights on your van.
