Will Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Work with Prodigy RF Wireless Brake Controller
Question:
I bought a 20 foot enclosed trailer to tow behind my diesel pusher motorhome. The trailer came with the controller in the photo attached. Would part# 90885 be the correct part to go along with what is on the trailer? If not, can you point me in the right direction??

Thank you for the photo! It looks like you have an older model of the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Trailer Brake Controller. The newer model does have a replacement remote, but it won't be compatible with your older model because the new system communicates via Bluetooth instead of radio frequencies.
This means that you will need to swap out what you have for a different brake controller. If you want to stick with wireless I recommend the Curt Echo # C51180 instead. This works through the app on your phone so you don't have to worry about the remote getting lost or malfunctioning.
You can also install a standard controller like the Prodigy P2 # 90885 that you referenced. The P2 is one of the most popular controllers we have on our site due to how easy it is to use and how reliable it is. If your motorhome is the 2016 Forest River that you have in the fitguide then you can use the adapter # 3034-P to connect your controller to the wiring under your dash if you have the factory tow package. If you don't have the factory tow package then you'll need to hardware the controller in.
