Rhino-Rack Roof Rack and Cargo Basket for a 2012 Jeep Compass
Question:
Hi I have a 2012 jeep compass n wanted a cargo basket for the top, but I dont have the cross bars. Its the standard roof rack they come with? Do I need the cross bars.

There are some baskets that do not require crossbars that run side to side on the vehicle roof. However most baskets do. It sounds like your 2012 Jeep Compass has the flush side rails that run front to back on the roof. If you wanted to go with the Rhino-Rack basket you referenced then for a Rhino-Rack roof rack you will need the following parts:
Vortex crossbars roof rack # RRVA137B-2
Foot pack # RRRLKVA
Fit kit # DK254
