Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and 4-Way Wiring Harness For a 2022 Mini Countryman

We have the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11522 that will fit all but the hybrid models of your 2022 Mini Countryman. This receiver requires no drilling or modification to your frame or body work for it to attach on your Mini. It is rated for 200lbs of tongue weight and 2,000lbs of trailer weight. Since it is a class I receiver you will need to ensure that your Ball Mount # C45521 or hitch mounted accessory is class I compatible. If you are using a hitch mounted accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier Curt recommends using a Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap # 18050 to provide additional support to the receiver.
I also recommend installing the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.
This will give you a 4-way flat connector that will fit most small trailers that you may pull but it will also allow for you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with your hitch mounted accessories that will interfere with the clear view of the tail lights on your Countryman.
The Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58002 will provide you with an attachment point for the 4-way to be secured on your receiver without drilling into the receiver or bodywork.
