Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2021 Honda Pilot That's Secured Outside the Vehicle
Question:
I just ordered a Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch for my 2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition. I ordered the Curt Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, but it looks like that one only installs with the wires going through the trunk and hanging out. I would like to get one that installs and goes under the vehicle. It looks like I would need to order the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector instead? If I order that one what additional plates do I need to have it mounted on the Frame of the Hitch? It looks like my Hitch has a plat already on it for that but wasnt sure if I needed something else. Thanks,

Correct, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # 118760 which is a fit for a 2021 Honda Pilot is designed to be secured outside the vehicle whereas the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56291 is designed to be secured inside the vehicle. In order to secure the former to a Draw-Tite trailer hitch you simply need the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat part # 18144. If you had any other hitch you'd need the Short No-Drill Bracket part # 18140.
