The hitch that I recommend for your 2021 Honda CR-V is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98848. This hitch will work with hybrid, non hybrid and touring models of the CR-V. It has a 2" receiver opening which is the most common size used for accessories such as bike racks, cargo carriers and ball mounts for towing a trailer. This hitch features a no drill installation and nice matte black finish that will help to hide any scratches.

If you plan to do any towing and do not have a wiring hook up on your CR-V already I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118741. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, behind the driver's-side interior trim panel. This makes for an easy no cutting, splicing or tapping required installation. The etrailer Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches # 989891 is a nice simple kit to get you going with a tow ball set up if you are in need of a tow ball.

One thing to keep in mind if you are going to tow a trailer is that you will be limited by the lowest rated weight capacity in your towing system. The etrailer hitch is rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs. and a maximum tongue weight of 525 lbs. You will want to consult the owners manual for your CR-V to ensure that you do not exceed the weight limits of your vehicle.
