Helper springs are helpful if you are planning to occasionally haul heavy loads on the back of your 2021 Ford F-250 (4-wheel drive). The springs provide load-leveling support, a reduction of strain on your rear suspension, and an improvement of both safety and ride quality. If you plan to occasionally haul cargo, a rear suspension upgrade will be enough. You will not need to upgrade the front suspension.

For a great economical option that will still allow you to manually adjust air pressure to get an even load distribution, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL23FJ. The LoadLifter 5000 has a load-levelling capacity up to 5,000 pounds and lets you adjust the air pressure from 5-100 psi to suit your desired firmness. If you want a compressor system that allows you to monitor the springs from the comfort of your cab, I recommend the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25856. The compressor also automatically restores air spring pressure when it is too low.
