Recommended Trailer Hitch, Cargo Carrier and Bike Rack for 2015 Toyota Prius
Question:
Can you please recommend an entire outfit for my Prius? In other words, everything I will need to attach a cargo tray/carrier or bike rack, including a cargo tray and bike rack recommendation. If so, I will immediately buy it all. Thank you

For your 2015 Toyota Prius I recommend the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24967. This hitch has a concealed cross tube so you will maintain a factory look with only the receiver opening showing under your vehicle. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and tongue weight of 200 lbs. You will want to check your owner's manual to see what the towing capacity is as well. You will be limited by the lowest capacity, whether that is the hitch or your vehicle.
For a cargo carrier, I recommend the 20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs # 63155. This cargo carrier will fit your 1-1/4" hitch and has a capacity of 300 lbs. Since the carrier weights 38 lbs, and your hitch has a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs, the most you will be able to carry with the cargo carrier is 162 lbs. It has a hollow, angled shank for better ground clearance and a black powder coat finish for corrosion resistance.
For a bike rack, I recommend the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # S64670. This bike rack doesn't stand out and is easy to use. The bikes are secured with a strap on each wheel and a frame hook in the center. This rack accommodates bikes with long wheelbases, and can also carry bikes with 5" tires if you add the fat bike hoops # S64674. It can hold two bikes with a weight capacity of 35 lbs per bike. You may also want to consider adding the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable for Swagman Bike Racks w/ 1-1/4" & Combo Shanks - 7' # S64031 to keep your bikes and rack secure.
I have attached some review and installation videos of the above mentioned products for your reference.
