Can Spare Tire On 2022 Honda Pilot Be Reinstalled After Installing etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver?
Question:
Will the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2022 honda pilot allow me to reinstall my spare tire?

Expert Reply:
As long as your spare wheel is 18" or smaller it can be reinstalled after the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 is installed on your 2022 Honda Pilot. This is the same for all of the hitches available for your vehicle.
If your wheel is larger that 18" you will want to pick up an 18" spare wheel and tire from your local Honda dealership.
One other key point is if your Pilot has the hands free lift gate sensor you will also need to pick up the sensor relocation kit for your Honda dealer to keep your sensor functioning.
If you will be towing a trailer with your Pilot then you will also need a vehicle wiring harness # 118760 if your trailer has a 4-way connector, the # 118286 if your trailer has a 7-way connector, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be found in the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900.
