What Hitch, Wiring Harness, and Ball Mount do You Recommend for My 2022 Hyundai Sante Fe?

What trailer hitch, trailer wiring, and ball mount do you recommend for my 2022 Hyundai Sante Fe?

For a great hitch that will give you plenty of weight capacity to tow on your 2022 Hyundai Sante Fe, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C34ER. The Curt hitch provides 4,000 pounds of maximum gross towing weight capacity and 600 pounds of maximum tongue weight capacity. In addition, it comes with all hardware required for a bolt-on installation without drilling. For a compatible ball mount, I recommend the Ball Mount 3/4" Rise or 2" Drop, Extra Long # D-26. For extra theft-deterrence and to attach your ball mount to your hitch, I recommend the etrailer Hitch Lock # e98880.
As far as compatible trailer wiring, if you are looking to have only brake light/turn signal functionality on your trailer, you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # CU94FR. The T-Connector comes with a powered converter to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer. If you are looking to add braking functionality to your vehicle, you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat # ETBC7.
To add a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 or the Curt Echo # C51180. Both of these controllers are proportional controllers which means that the controller activates the trailer brakes in proportion to your vehicle's braking action. The Voyager is more of a traditional-style controller than requires mounting into the dashboard of your vehicle near the steering wheel. On the other hand, the Curt Echo allows you to control the settings of your controller with the ease of your Smart device.
If you need help installing any of these accessories on your 2022 Hyundai Sante Fe, I went ahead and attached walk-through videos to this answer to help you.
