Wiring Kit And Flat Tow Components Needed For A 2003 Jeep Wrangler

Question:

I have a Blue ox BX7335 Aventa tow bar. I’ve seen it is discontinued but looking to use this on a 03 jeep wrangler with an aftermarket front bumper ie. use 7/8” tow eyelets I need some direction on what light kits/ E-Brake I need for my setup. Or what my opinion would be? Pulling it with 07 Ford E-450 class C Motorhome with the 7 pin light hookup jack. Any help or products you sell is appreciated.

For your 2003 Jeep Wrangler, you'll need a base plate, wiring, and a proportional braking system to be safely flat towed.

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1124 is a guaranteed fit for your Jeep Wrangler, and is compatible with your Blue Ox Aventa Tow Bar.

You could also use your Jeep's aftermarket bumper with 7/8" tow eyelets with the Blue Ox Aftermarket Off-Road Bumper Adapter # BX88357.

For your wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Wire Hybrid Cord # RM-152-1676-7, which contains 4 Hy-Power diodes, the actual wiring harness, 1 7-Way to 6-way adapter cord,1 6-Way socket with a mounting bracket, wire connectors, a bundle of cable ties, and 1 ring terminal.

Finally, for a proportional braking system, the Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494 is a popular choice due to it's portability, it's lightweight design, and it's advanced terrain sensing to prevent false braking.
