I need to hook up a Tekonsha P3 electric brake controller to a 2014 Lincoln Navigator with tow package—-but no brake controller—-P3 electric brake controller and tekonsha plug- wiring adaptor—-code 016118075076 —-all hooked up—-will not turn on—-7 way plug in tow package on rear of navagator

This is most likely due to the pigtail you currently have. The 016118075076 (or # 22292 ) harness is designed to fit a Lincoln Navigator from 2015 to 2021. The port will look the same, but it will end up being pinned differently.

For your 2014, you will need the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3034-P. This will be pinned for your year Navigator and will get you all squared away.
