Hitch Reciever and 2 Inch Adapter for Using a Kuat Bike Rack on a 2010 Toyota Corolla
Question:
I have a 2010 toyota carolla S. I have a Kuat 2 inch trailer platform bike rack that I would like to use. 1. Do they make 2 inch hitch receivers that will fit a toyota carolla? 2. If not, would you recommend installing the 1-1/4 reciever and using a 2 inch adapter? If so, what adaptor would you recommend? Thank you for your time.

I recommend using a 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch adapter on your 2010 Toyota Corolla to use your Kuat bike rack . The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter - 1-1/4" (Class II) to 2" - 6" Long item # C45785 has a maximum tongue weight of 350 lbs which will be enough for your application but the adapter reduces your vehicles tongue weight by 50%.
Depending on the type of Kuat bike rack you're using we do offer an adapter that allows you to utilizer your 1 1/4" hitch receiver without an adapter that reduces tongue weight capacity. The Kuat Bike Rack Shank Adapter - 1-1/4" to 2"
Item # D101 fits Fits 1-1/4" Kuat racks - Alpha, Beta, NV 2.0, NV Base 2.0, Sherpa, and Sherpa 2.0. However it will not fit first generation Kuat NV bike racks.
We do not have any options for 2" hitch receivers for your car. The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" item # 24913 has a 200 lbs tongue weight capacity.
