The replacement brake controller cable # 20127 plugs into the back of a Tekonsha brake controller. The blunt cut wire ends get hardwired to a vehicle, so it would work with your 1995 Chevy K Series pickup truck. To install a brake controller you will need 3 items.
First you will need a 4-Way trailer wiring harness unless the truck already has a 4-Way. You can use # 118315 to add a 4-Way. I have linked the installation instructions for you.
Next you will need a 4 and 7 way installation kit # ETBC7. This will provide the 7-Way and the wiring/accessories needed to install a brake controller. I have included some links that will explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
The last item you will need is a brake controller. I recommend the P2, # 90885. It is one of our most popular controllers of all time because it is easy to set up, easy to use, and because its reliable.
