Suspension Recommendation for a 2006 Honda Pilot Towing a Tent Trailer

Question:

I am debating between these and airlift 1000 for my 2006 Honda Pilot. I like the ease of installation and relative maintenance-free nature of the Sumosprings. Im curious, though, as to whether they will function as well as the Airlift to keep my Pilot level when towing my tent trailer. With the stock springs the Pilot sags a fair amount. Thanks for the help.

Both the Air Lift 1000 # AL60815 and Super Springs Custom Helper # CSS-1125R would give your 2006 Honda Pilot the added support to help with your sagging issue, however these systems were designed so suspend loads carried in the vehicle itself, not to level out a vehicle when towing.

When towing a trailer it is best to look into a weight distribution system. With a weight distribution system, it will relieve the pressure on the back axle and distributes that weight evenly. I have attached a FAQ covering how to calculate your tow vehicles tongue weight. When you have your fully loaded tongue weight calculated plus the behind the axle cargo weight, I would be happy to recommend a weight distribution system for your 2006 Honda Pilot.
