I have a 2021 Ram 2500. How do I choose the right height setting when using the Demco Hijacker Autoslide?

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550034 has three different height settings. The settings are 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18".

You will want to measure from the ground to the bottom of your pin box where the king pin is attached and also from the ground to your truck bed. The difference between these two heights is the needed height of your hitch. There should also be at least 5-6" of clearance between the bottom of the trailer loft and the top of your bed rails. You will need to choose the height setting that both allows for the right amount of clearance and keeps your trailer level. Keep in mind that you can also adjust the height of your pin box.

I have attached several pictures showing the appropriate clearance as well as where to measure for your reference.
