Easiest Power Awning Conversion Kit To Install On a 2010 Forest River Surveyor With Dometic Awning
Question:
I have at this time Dominic awning and want to convert to electric awning can you help me by letting me know what I will need maybe a part number for the set up and can I use my original awning that I have. Thank you

I recommend using the Solera 18V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434730 on your 2010 Forest River Surveyor as this is the easiest kit to upgrade your camper to power awing. It uses a rechargeable battery pack that is located inside the front arm which means you do not have to run any additional wiring to operate your awing. The battery pack will allow you to operate your awing 22-25 times before needing charged. To charge the battery you only need plug the included charger into the connection port on the bottom of the front arm and the charger itself into a standard 120 volt outlet.
You will be able to use your current Dometic awning tube and fabric assembly. The kit includes new end caps which must be installed to allow for the awing arms to attach to your tube assembly.
