Determining Correct Bearings for Wells Cargo Trailer
Question:
I have a 2000 Wells Cargo Enclosed trailer. I am looking for new bearings. The bearing I pulled out are totally shot and I cannot see any #s on them. Model#CW1622-102 Can you tell me what bearings go in it? Also need the dust cap or whatever the cap on the end is called.

Since you are unable to find any part numbers on your bearings you are going to need to take measurements to find the correct size. I recommend using a digital caliper like the # PTW80157.
You will need to measure the inner and outer bearing seat on your spindle. Once you have the measurements you will be able to determine the correct bearings. For a standard grease cap you will also need to measure the inner diameter of your hub.
I have attached a helpful diagram that shows where the measurements need to be taken for your bearings. I also attached a helpful article on replacing bearings, races and seals as well as a link to our available bearings and standard grease caps.
