Recommended Hitch Mounted Bike Rack for Two 60 Pound Aventon Level Step-Through Electric Bikes

I plan on purchasing the Curt hitch # C13406. I also need a bike rack that will accommodate to Aventon Level step-through electric bikes equipped with fenders and rear racks 60 pounds each. The only rack I found that accommodates two 60 lb. bikes is the Thule Easy Fold XT2, but it’s about $800. Is there one you can recommend that’s less expensive but offers the same features and quality? I’m considering one on eBay for $650 from someone who has it new for $650, but have to drive 100 miles to pick it up. Haven’t used eBay in a while, though, so not sure if that’s safe.

For a bike rack that will accommodate your 60 lb Aventon Level step-through bikes I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # HLY84FR. This will hold two electric bikes up to 80 lbs per bike. Since it mounts to the frame the fenders will not be an issue.

Because you have step-through bikes you will also need a bike adapter bar like the Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's and Alternative Frame Bikes # HRBA-PRO. You will need to measure to see which bike adapter bar fits your electric bikes. I have attached a link with all of the available adapter bars for you to choose from.

It is also worth noting that the weight of the carrier combined with the two bikes will be 174 lbs. If you are purchasing the Curt # C13406 it has a tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs so this will not be a problem.
