Does 2017 Ram 2500 Short Bed Need Slider Hitch to Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer
Question:
I have a 2017 2500 SB ram Do I need a slider, and if so,will this fit a puck system? I do not have anything in my truck yet and I am thinking about installing a puck system.Thank you

Since the length of your short bed 2017 Ram 2500 is on the longer side as it's 6-1/2 feet there's a chance you don't need a slider hitch if your trailer has a tapered nose like the modern fifth wheel campers are being designed to have for short bed clearance.
So if you install the Ram rail kit you could use a fixed hitch that fits it directly with the Curt A20 part # C16044. But if you want to go with an auto slider hitch like the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034 you'd also need the Ram OEM rail kit adapter part # DM6099.
