Can You Adapt a 4-Way to a 7-Way on a 2015 Honda Pilot

Question:

So I have a Curt 4 pin hooked up right now. But it looks like I need a 7 pin for hauling a uhaul trailer. Should I get this adapter or get the whole 7 pin wire harness. My Curt came with another piece that I connect inside the vehicle. Just wondering if the piece inside is compatible with a 7 pin hook up or that doesnt matter. Thanks in advance. The best option for a 2015 Honda Pilot to obtain a 7-way is to replace the 4-way with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package part # 118265. This would offer a complete plug-in-play install with no extra wiring needed. If you were to adapt the 4-way to a 7-way you'd still need to hook up extra wires in order for it to function properly.

Please note, you will need the Mounting Bracket and Installation Hardware part # PK12711U.
