I have an answer for you. The Swagman LT Roamer Roof Rack # S80510 requires drilling in order to be used on all campers/camper shells that it is confirmed to fit. Fortunately, our installation team here at etrailer has already mounted the Swagman LT Roamer Roof Rack on a 2016 Jayco Jay Series Sport Camper 12UD. However, there is currently no drill-free solution for mounting crossbars on your camper.

If you need an extra height boost while installing the LT Roamer, I recommend the Telesteps Telescopic Ladder - Wide Step - 12-1/2' Extended Height - 16' Reach # TE44FR. In addition to helping with the installation, the Telesteps will be a great accessory for when you are cleaning the exterior of your RV.

I went ahead and called my contact at Swagman, and given that the material of your roof on your 2016 Jayco 12UD Camper would benefit from extra support, I recommend drilling through the roof and using the optional supporting plates. The carriage bolt will go through the tower, tower pad, metal plate, washer, and nut. I went ahead and attached a diagram from the instructions of the # S80510 to give you a visual.
