Adding a 7-Way Blade Wiring Harness to a 2020 Jeep Renegade 2WD

Question:

I purchased the Tekonsha T-One Harness 118651 you recommended then found out the 1000 pound vintage travel trailer has a 7 prong round plug... is there an adapter that will complement the 4 on the wiring I purchased? I have a 2020 Jeep Renegade 2wd. Thanks!

You will need our etrailer 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L to connect to the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118651 that you installed on your 2020 Jeep Renegade. The 4-way plug from the Tekonsha will plug into the 7-way which will take care of the lighting circuit on your trailer.

As your trailer has a 7-way and only weighs 1,000lbs it likely has a charge line that will charge the battery on your trailer while you are driving. The 7-way kit also includes wiring to run this charge line on your Jeep.

If your trailer does have brakes on it you can use the Curt Echo Wireless Brake Controller # C51180 to operate the trailer brakes. You will be able to setup the brake controller with your smartphone through the Curt Echo App. Once you have it set up you will only need your phone to make changes to the sensitivity of the brakes or to activate the brakes manually while you are driving. This controller will get its power from the charge line portion of the 7-way so that must be hooked up to use the controller.
