We have some options for you when it comes to a soft cargo bag for your 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe, but the Advantage Bag # HE3021 you referenced will not be a compatible fit for your roof since it needs raised side rails or crossbars to be attached.
We offer a number of naked roof cargo bags, such as the Rightline Sports Jr. Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S50. It does not require a raised roof rack or crossbars to attach to the top of your vehicle. It features straps with rubber-coated hooks that hold on to door ledges or rain gutters to secure the bag to your roof. It has 9 cubic feet of storage space. I have provided a video review of this item.
If you have a trailer hitch, you can use the Navigator with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier. In that case, I would actually use the etrailer Extra Large Cargo Bag # 988501. It features a total of 18 cubic feet of storage and is more water-resistant than the Navigator.
If you decided to go with the hitch-mounted cargo carrier, I recommend the Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier # 63153. It fits 2-inch trailer hitch receivers, has a weight capacity of 500 lbs, and has plenty of bumper clearance.
I have provided links to the installation instructions for this product as well as a video review.
To keep your hitch-mounted cargo safe and secure, you might be interested in the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98882. It is stainless steel and features a keyed lock that prevents the unwanted removal of your carrier. I have provided a video review of this product.
Your other option is to install crossbars on your roof so you can mount the cargo bag there. I recommend the Yakima CrossBars # Y00409, # Y00145, # Y03536 and # Y06006. They are made for flush roof rails and will allow you to carry your cargo bag on the roof. While not as economically priced as the hitch-mounted cargo carrier, the crossbars are a one-time addition that will allow you to use your cargo bag without the additional time and effort of dealing with the hitch-mounted carrier.
With a roof rack in place, you will also have the ability to use additional accessories in the further such as ski racks, bike racks, canoe/kayak carriers, etc.
Finally, I have provided a link to our FAQ page on cargo bags.
