Is the Hitch Handle On the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adjustable Up or Down

can the locking/unlocking handle height be lowered so it does not interfere with the bakflip mx4 closing when not towing?

The handle on the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16530-16021 is not adjustable up or down. Your best course of action to allow your cover to close without interference would be to pull the two large pins holding the hitch head in and just removing the hitch head only.

If you don't already have the Curt Q20 we do have the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # RP30918. The Reese will give you the same 20,000 pound towing capacity and still use the OEM puck style mounting. But the Reese's handle is attached with two nuts and bolts so you could just remove the 2 nuts and bolts to remove the handle for closing your cover. You could also replace the Reese handle with the Replacement Low Profile Handle for Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP58553. That is a low profile handle that would make the handle lower and reduce the chance of interference with your cover.
