Installing a Brake Controller on a 2016 Isuzu Q Series With No Stoplight Wire
Question:
Isuzu nqr 2016 , “cold” side of switch to activate break control. I have power until I push the break and then the power s out. Also the tail lights have separate feeds for the turn signal and break lights. The turn signal and break lights are on the same wires in most cases. Not sure how to handle the wiring for this.

This is something that has come up with the N-Series Isuzu trucks before. With that being said, you will want to get the stop light signal from a different source. If your vehicle has a center high mount stop lamp, or CHMSL, this will be a great place to connect the brake controller's stoplight wire. The CHMSL can be used to gain a stoplight signal regardless of if your vehicle has separate or combined brake/turn wiring.
However, if you do not have the CHMSL, you can simply splice the stop light signal wire into the brake light wire for the taillight. Something like the Spectro Quick Splices - Self-Stripping Connector - Closed Port - 14-16-18/10-12 Gauge # SWC501925-1 makes this process significantly easier as well.
