Choosing The Correct Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit For Forest River RV

I have a domestic awning on my camper want to switch to electric awning I have 8 inchs above my door but only 67 inchs from awning rail to a compartment door will the 63 inch rail work

In order to use Solera 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit - Universal - 69" Arms - White # LC434724, you need at least 69" of unobstructed space from the awning rail straight down along the wall for proper operation of the awning, which you do not have this space. You also need a minimum of 2-1/2" between awning rail and the top of the door, which you do have.
It sounds like the Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning Conversion Kit - Programmable - 63" Arms - White # LC759404 would better suit you. This requires 63" of space from the awning rail straight down and also 6" between the awning rail and the top of the door, both of which you have. I would go with this kit since it would fit your RV better.
