Correct Replacement for Old Worn Out 31.75 Long Trailer Slipper Spring
Question:
Hi, I have a 1976 Cox trailer for my 13’ Boston whaler. I measured the current worn down 2 leaf springs and they are 31.75 from center eye to back of slipper. The center of the eye hole and slipper bracket are 27.5” apart and I think the center of eye to the center of axel is 14”. Any suggestions on what would be a good replacement?

The best fit replacement option we offer for this trailer using the provided measurements is the 2-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Flat End part # e29SR which measures 30" long. The leaf springs will lengthen over time as they wear out which is why the correct replacement is usually shorter in length than the original. This one seems a bit shorter than normal but the keeper should still retain the end of the spring just fine based on the provided distance.
