Which Awning Conversion Kit for 2004 Holiday Rambler Vacationer with 78 Inch Long Bracket

Question:

Will this fit my 2004 Holiday Rambler Vacationer, I have 78” from drip rail to bottom of existing pull out awning frame. I want to convert to power awning. The current awning is 18’ If it doesn’t fit, what model power arm will work? Thanks

It sounds like you measured the bracket on the side of your 2004 Holiday Rambler Vacationer RV and got 78 inches, so in order to convert to a powered awning you'll need either the Solera Manual Pull Style to Power Awning Conversion Kit, White # LC329250 if you've got a pull style awning; or the Solera Manual Crank Style to Power Awning Conversion Kit, White # LC337727 if you've got a crank style awning. This will allow you to re-use the fabric and roller tube by replacing the heads on your existing arms.

You could use the Solera XL Power Awning Support Arms # LC362241 you were looking at, but it would also require getting a new awning fabric and roller that is compatible like the Solera XL Power Awning Roller Assembly - 18' Wide - Black Fade # LCV000343025. These arms come with a switch that can be wired into the interior of the RV to allow you to extend and retract the awning.

Since you'd already be replacing most of the awning I recommend going with a complete upgrade- the Solera Smart Arm 12V Power RV Awning - 18' Wide - Programmable - White Fade # LC405510, which is 18 feet wide and a perfect replacement. This is a really nice upgrade to a standard powered awning with the touchpad located on the arm of the awning for easy operation. You can also add on a wind sensor # LC715123 to close the awning automatically if high winds are sensed. It gives you the most customization if you're really wanting to go all out and you also don't have to go in and out of the RV to open and close the awning.

I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to check out, as well.
