B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch Fit in 2014 Toyota Tundra Long Bed

Question:

I had a 1257 installed in my 2014 Tundra today planning on using it with an RVB Companion hitch. The paperwork says its only comparable with a RVK3500 with special socket post. I think this is the same unit...one being the base only. Can you clear this up. Will the RVB3500 work? What is the special post? Thanks on advance.

There is indeed a special socket post needed for your 2014 Toyota Tundra with an 8 foot bed in order to use the Companion. However, that socket post is included with the following install kit, which fits your Tundra:

- Turnoverball Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1257-5W

If you purchased this exact kit from us, you do have the socket post already; if you purchased just the gooseneck, you will need to contact B&W for the socket post as that part is not sold individually. So if you have the # BWGNRK1257-5W you're set, otherwise you will need the socket post and then you will be able to use the Companion:

- B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W

Finally, the last thing you will need for your Tundra if you don't have one is a 5th wheel wiring harness, with the correct fit being the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 50-97-410.
