Question:
Does the #e98844 fit the Toyota Highlander with a full size spare tire?

Expert Reply:
The etrailer Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98844 will fit the full-size spare on your 2019 Toyota Highlander stowed under vehicle unless spare is on an Aluminum rim, which is too wide. This receiver is rated for 900lbs of tongue weight and 6,000lbs of maximum trailer capacity. The towing capacity can increase to 8,000lbs when used with a weight distribution system. Be sure to consult your Toyota dealer for your specific towing capacity on your Highlander and do not exceed the lower of these 2 ratings.
For towing trailers that require a 4-way flat connector you will need the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118449 to operate the tail lights on your trailer.
For larger trailers that require a 7-way blade connector the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # 22119 will allow you to add a Tekonsha P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 for towing trailers that have braking axles.
