Will the Curt 2 Bike Rack Work with My Bike Friday NWT Folding Bike?
Question:
I have a Bike Friday NWT folding bike with 20inch wheels. I want to mount the bike un-folded on a rack hitch. Allowing for some portion of the wheels settling into the lower hoops, will the hook that captures the crossbar slide down low enough on the Curt rack to capture the crossbar and hold the bike securely? The lowest point on the crossbar is 19 inches from the ground when the bike is not on the rack.

Expert Reply:
Yes, the securing hooks on the Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4 and 2 Hitches # C18085 will be able to slide down low enough on the mast to secure to the 19-inch high cross tube on your Bike Friday NWT. I went ahead and attached a picture of a bike with a similar height of cross tube to give you perspective of how low the ratcheting hooks can slide.
