If you are trying to install the Reese Select Plus 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 you linked to then you'll need the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50087-58. Since these rails are a custom fit you won't have to drill into the frame which will drastically cut down on installation time. I've attached the instructions and an installation video for these rails to help you in this process.
If you haven't gotten a fifth wheel hitch yet then since you have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with a 6.5' bed you'll want a sliding hitch to help with turning clearance. I recommend the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000lbs Curt Custom Fifth Wheel # C16541 and the Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC - Carbide Finish # C16418-204.
This hitch has 12" or fore/aft movement to increase your turning clearance and prevent to nose of your fifth wheel from coming into contact with the cab of your truck. This hitch has a 3-Point indicator system that is color coded to tell you if the hitch is ready to uncouple, couple, or tow and can be seen from the cab of the truck. The rails in this kit are custom fit so you won't have to drill into the frame to install which will drastically reduce installation time.
