To check if the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 is working correct after being installed in your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Classic you will want to have a friend hit the manual override lever while you use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the 5 o'clock pin on your 7-way connector.
The only part this will not test is that the stop light switch wire is working correctly, as if you hit the brake pedal with the vehicle not moving the 7-way connector will not have any power.
Next hook up the trailer and head to an empty parking lot. You will need to speed up to around 25mph and apply the brake pedal of your trailer. If you do not feel the trailer brakes are strong enough, turn up the power, and if you lock up the brakes then turn the power down slightly. Ideally you want the brakes to be as strong as possible without locking up the trailer brakes.
I included a video review of the # 39510 for you to take a look at.
