Can One Torsion Axle On Tandem Axle Be Replaced With Timbren Axle-Less Suspension?
Question:
Replacing torsion axles on my 5th wheel camper, do I’m thinking of using the axle less system do I need the 2” lift spindle? Do I have to replace both axles at the same time? I was thinking of doing 1 at a time just in case something didn’t work I won’t be out the whole cost at one time.

Most do not have built in lift so you would more than likely just need the standard height Timbren Axle-Less Suspension.
If you have standard height axles you could still use ones with 2" lift spindles if you want extra ground clearance though.
Now you will need to replace both axles at the same time, as the suspension on the trailer needs to be the same for both axles. Mixing the axles would cause the trailer to handle inconsistently, and would cause uneven wear on the suspension and tires.
To determine which exact model Timbren Axle-Less you will need you will need to determine the axle rating of the axles on your trailer. You can find this by looking for the at the axle tag located on the center of your axle, or if the axle tag is missing you can take the GVWR of the trailer and divide it by two since you have two axles. This will give you a rough idea of what your axle rating is.
For example if your trailer has 5200lb axles then I recommend the # ASR5200S01 which is a standard spindle with a 5200lb rating.
If you can let me know your axle rating I would be happy to confirm the correct replacement for you.
I included a video of the # ASR5200S01 for you to take a look at.
