Can a Tekonsha P2 Brake Controller be Moved from a 72 GMC Truck to an 18 Honda Pilot?
Question:
Good Morning, I own a 2018 Honda Pilot. I just purchased a tow hitch and 7 way wiring harness from you. It installed perfectly. I am going to tow an 1800 lb trailer with its own brake system. I purchased a Tekonsha P2 controller and set it up to tow with a 1972 GMC Pickup last year. Can I use this same controller on my Pilot? Thanks for your help

You can definitely use your Tekonsha P2 # 90885 on your 2018 Honda Pilot. There will be 2 ways to attach this to your Pilot and will depend on how it came equipped from Honda.
If it was prewired for a brake controller, there will be a port under your dash that the Tekonsha pigtail # 3070-P will plug directly in to. It will then plug directly into the back of the P2 # 90885, and you are good to go.
If it did not come prewired, there is a lot less information. With the # 118286 basically giving you that prewired set-up, there should be wires for the controller to attach to, but no port. In this case, you will most likely need the # 20127, depending on how your current wiring looks.
