The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14002 that is a replacement receiver for your 2009 Ford F-150, has the following maximum weight ratings from Curt.
Maximum Tongue Weight- 1,000lbs
Maximum Tongue Weight with Weight Distribution Hitch- 1,200lbs
Maximum Trailer Weight- 10,000lbs
Maximum Trailer Weight with Weight Distribution Hitch- 12,000lbs
You will need to contact a Ford dealer with your VIN information so that they can determine what the maximum weight capacities are for your specific truck. The capacities may be lower depending on engine, transmission, final drive gearing and multiple other items that are installed on your F-150. Be sure to use the lower of the 2 tow ratings.
