Availability Of 26 Leaf Spring Rated For 5000lb Axles

Question:

Good day. I am in market to replace leaf springs on my trailer. They are 26” long springs when new. However I am looking at upgrading as they are only one year old and are very close to my trailer weight. I am also going to be replacing the stock 3500 lb 3” tube axles with 6000 lb ones only for better durability on high mile trips. And ease of accessibility to parts. But do not want the harsh ride associated with the 6000lb springs. I was hoping to find something around 5200 lb axle springs. As the old ones on my trailer we’re replaced under warranty to 4400 lb axle springs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is it that critical to be 26” or would 25.250” suffice and only move the axle minimally. As the shorter length would be take. Up on the equalizer. Thanks. Again.

I would be happy to help!

The longest 5000-5300lb leaf springs we currently offer is the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 5,000-lb Trailer Axles - 25-1/4" Long # e28SR but these will be 3/4" shorter than your current leaf springs.

The best option would be going with these springs, but having the hangers moved while you are changing the axles.

This will make sure that your suspension geometry will still be correct even though you will be using slightly shorter springs.
