A brake controller wiring harness is not available for the Spartan chassis or holiday Ramblers so you will need to hardwire in the brake controller. You may be able to contact Holiday Rambler directly and speak with a technician who can tell you where the wiring may be found to wire in a brake controller.
Or the alternative is to hardwire in the brake controller if the RV has a 7-Way trailer connector. You will need the brake controller itself and an installation kit # 5506 for a trailer with 6 to 8 brakes.
What you would do is use some of the wire in the 5506 kit, attach one end to the brake controller white wire, route it through the firewall, and attach it to the negative battery terminal for ground. Then attach another length of wire to the black brake controller wire, route it through the firewall, then to the circuit breaker in 5506 and from there to the positive battery terminal for 12 volt power.
Next you would use a circuit tester like # PTW2979 if needed to probe the wires on the brake switch above the brake pedal and attach the brake controller red wire to the one that only shows power when the brake pedal is pressed. If it shows power with the headlights or turn signals on it is not the correct wire.
Last, on the back of the 7-Way, locate the brake output wire (7:00 position on a blade style 7-Way or center pin on a round pin 7-Way). Follow it as far forward as you can on the RV. What you will do is connect a length of wire to the brake controller blue wire, route it through the firewall and under the vehicle to the closest place you can access that wire from the 7-Way. Cut the factory wire and attach the end you routed to the end of the factory wire that goes to the connector.
After mounting the brake controller installation will be complete.
