Best Fastway E2 Weight Distribution For a 2015 Forest River RPOD 179 Travel Trailer
Question:
Im towing a 2015 RPOD 179 with a 2021 Toyota Highlander. Wed like to add a WDH with anti-sway capability and debating between the Fastway 450 and Fastway 600. Our tongue weight is ~360 lbs and trailer weight when towing under 3500lb. Im leaning toward the Fastway 450. What do you recommend? Thanks!

I am going to recommend the 600 Trunnion Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 over the 450 Trunnion # FA92-00-0450 and 600 Round Bar # FA94-00-0600 for your 2015 Forest River RPOD 179.
The 600 Trunnion Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 is rated for tongue weights of 250lbs to 600lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 6,000lbs. With this hitch if you decide that you want a little bigger trailer you will be able to use your same hitch.
The 450 Trunnion Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0450 will do what you need for this trailer but it does limit you to smaller trailers. It is rated for trailers with a tongue weight up to 450lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 4,500lbs.
The 600 Round Bar Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA94-00-0600 has the smallest tongue weight window. It will only work with trailers that have a tongue weight of 400-600lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 6,000lbs.
With any of the hitches you will need a 2" Hitch Ball # A-90 and a torque wrench to install the ball onto the hitch. Since it is such a high torque, you can go to your nearest dealer or auto shop and have them torque it for you for a reasonable fee.
