Parts Needed to Install a Tekonsha primus IQ on a 2009 Forester
Question:
I have a 2009 Subaru Forester and already have a 4-flat to 7-pin adapter but not the wiring to connect it to the battery properly. I want to get the Tekonsha Primus IQ only pulling a 1500lb pop up. Can you please let me know what else I will need in order to connect the controller to my adapter? Thanks

Expert Reply:
As you already have the 7 Way on your vehicle, you are most of the way there. I included a diagram of where everything needs to be attached, but to finish getting the Tekonsha Primus IQ # TK90160 installed, you will need a 40 Amp In-Line Circuit Breaker # 9510, a 30 amp. In-Line Circuit Breaker # 38630, and some wiring, # 10-2-1. 20 feet of wiring should give some excess if needed, and you may need some butt connectors, like the Deka # DW05745-5, if you do not already have any.
