Equipment Needed To Hook Two Propane Tanks Up To A Propane Appliance

Question:

I have written down all my ordering part numbers but since I have never put it together before I am not feeling confident that I have my male and female connections right. I am going to set up two 20lb propane tanks on the front of my travel trailer and only need to run one appliance that is within five feet. That is a gas stove. so I am ordering a regulator 888001-MBS and two pigtails 100473-12 and hose 6foot 100040-72-MBS which is 3/8 inch MPT x 3/8inch Female flare swivel The stove looks like a standard 3/8 male pipe. Is it possible with this information to let me know if it sounds like I have it right? Greatly appreciated, Tobie

You can hook the MB Sturgis High Capacity Two-Stage Auto Changeover Regulator # 888001-MBS up between your two 20lbs propane tanks but the # 100473-12 will not work as supply lines because you need a male inverted flare tip like the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail - Type 1 x 1/4" Male Inverted Flare - 15" Item # 100575-15-MBS.

Then you can use the MB Sturgis High Pressure Propane Hose - 3/8" MPT x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel - 6' Item # 100040-72-MBS as long as the grill you're hooking up to has a 3/8" male inverted flare tip to hook up to. If the grill doesn't have that fitting and you need help finding the correct fit please send me a picture of the fitting and I can help find the correct one for you.
