I went ahead and attached a video of a 2019 Toyota Highlander with the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform # RR42115BF to give you perspective about how well it utilizes the space. The Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 57" Long x 42" Wide - 165 lbs # RMCB02 will not utilize the space as well.
