Which Replacement Brake Pads Work For Kodiak Disc Brake Kit K2HR35DKG?
Question:
I’m looking into replacing my drum brakes with disk brake setup on our 3 horse slant load gooseneck horse trailer, with two 3500 lb axles. Question is when it’s time to replace the pads, are they available or do you have to buy new calipers as well. I couldn’t find any pads on the website. Thanks in advance

The replacement brake pads for the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10" Hub/Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet and KodaGuard - 3,500 lbs # K2HR35DKG are available and you will not need to replace the calipers as well. You will just need to order Kodiak Ceramic Brake Pads # K225CPSS.
The # K2HR35DKG is a great option to replace the drum brakes currently on your 3 horse slant load gooseneck trailer with tandem 3500lb axles.
To complete this installation you will need to add hydraulic lines # HS496-252, and an electric over hydraulic actuator # HBA16.
Lastly you will need to make sure that the trailer brake controller you have in your truck is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. If it is not I recommend replacing it with the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 which has a few different EOH settings.
I included videos of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
