Parts Needed for Curt C51180 Wireless Brake Controller on 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Question:
I just upgraded from a flat 4 to an OEM 7-way Wiring Harness on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Wil the C51180 be compatible with my Jeep and do I have to do anything additional to install the brake controller? Thanks for the help.

As long as the 12-v pin in the 1:00 position on your 7-way connector is active, the Curt # C51180 Echo Wireless brake controller would work great for you with no additional parts needed, except for the smart phone used to control it.
If that pin isn't active, you'd need to connect it to the positive battery terminal using # 12-1-1 wire with a # 9510 40A circuit breaker installed inline. You'll also need 2 # 44-5310A and one # 44-5356A ring terminal to make the connections at the battery and the circuit breaker.
