Cushioned Equalizer and Lift Kit for 2016 K-Z Durango 286BHD
Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 K-Z Durango 286BHD 5th wheel. Im trying to solve a problem and looking at upgrades as part of solving the problem. I purchased a new, 2021 Ram 3500 SRW truck which sits higher than my old 2009 Ram 2500 tow vehicle. So, Im looking to raise the trailer, by lowering the leaf springs to the lowest setting to get as much lift as I can to help level the 5th wheel when towing. Since Ill be undoing all the bolts, I figured I might as well replace the stock nylon bushings with brass and a wet bolt kit. Also looking to upgrade the stock equalizer while Im at it. Looking at your site, it appears I should have either a 33 or 35inch axle spread on the 5th when but it seems to be right at 34. 33inch is too short center to center and 35inch is wider. Hopefully you can help guide me on the proper components. Thanks very much for your time,

For cushioned equalizers you'd want to measure the distance between the left and right bolt holes and we can pick out what you'd need from there. For example if the distance is between 7-1/4 inches and 8-1/4 inches the EZ Flex part # K71-653-00 would work great but if you have something else let me know. This kit comes with wet bolts and brass bushings too so that would be covered as well.
Then for a lift kit the Lippert kit part # RR23QX would give you a lift of 2 inches.
